At Chiropractic Sports Therapy we provide the latest in sports specific therapy to maximize therapeutic benefit and minimize injury time using a variety of methods:

Kinesiotaping is a revolutionary taping procedure that is used to support the muscles, fascia, and nerves of the body. There are numerous taping protocols to assist in a myriad of conditions from sprains and strains to bruises and swelling. Kinesiotape has been used in athletes all over the world in all types of sports and sporting events ranging from the Olympics and the Tour de France to professional horse racing!

Graston Technique is employed by numerous sports physicians to realign fascia of the body to assist in healing of sports injuries. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds all of the muscles of the body and is believed to be a major contributor to chronic, acute and overuse injuries. Like Kinesiotape, Graston Technique has been utilized in professional sporting events all over the world and by team physicians of numerous professional sports teams.

Myofascial release is a manual muscle technique aimed at removing adhesions in fascia so that the muscles can function at their optimum capacity. Fascia is the thin covering surrounding every muscle in the body. Muscles with fascial adhesions are not able to function properly. When we remove these adhesions we increase range of motion, decrease pain and increase the bodies healing ability.

Acupuncture is an eastern medicine form of healing that is meant to align the body's chi. Inbalances in chi are thought to contribute to all forms of disease states. They have also been used in chiropractic practices to assist in healing of musculo-skeletal injuries. Acupuncture has been used to reduce the healing times of fractured bones and other soft tissue injuries.

Rehabilitation is part of the third phase of care and is one of the most important in my professional opinion. As holistic practitioners, chiropractors rely on drug free treatments. Much like we take medicine daily for an illness, patients with musculo-skeletal injuries need to strengthen the muscles to a point that the cause of the injury is fixed and we are not merely chasing symptoms.
